高齢者にとってのTV字幕の適切性に関する研究

Abstract

In order to verify appropriateness of TV caption for the elderly people, the survey by interview and questionnaire method was conducted. Responses were gained from 65 people aged from 65 to 84 (average age : 73.25,male: 21.5%, female: 78.5%). The results were as follows. (1) The outreach caption made for this survey is more readable than the regular TV caption. (2) Readability for the elderly is related to ①caption size, ②caption font, ③caption spacing, ④contrast between the caption color and the background. (3)Most respondents tend to avoid TV caption with low visibility and the caption layout with high incidence of gaze movement. Therefore the burdens on visibility and movement of gaze seen to be attributed to readability of TV caption for the elderly.
