観光英語教材の開発

Abstract

The Japanese government has been promoting tourism for the prosperity of its nation since 2003. Its "Tourism Nation Promotion Basic Plan" expects to receive 10 million visitors from overseas,and to send 20 million Japanese tourists abroad by the end of 2010. This campaign will greatly affect not only tourism industry, but also educational institutions which send out their students as workers for the industry. To cope with such a trend in society, the University of Nagasaki, siebold, offers a course to study English for tourism, and we have started to develop multimedia study matesials of english for tourism for classroom use supported by Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research(20520509). In this paper, we introduce our sample study materials for the purpose of blended learning.
