現代教養学としての「情報メディア学」－高等教育におけるリベラルアーツとしての情報メディア教育に向けて－

Abstract

科学技術の高度化・専門分野が進展するとともに、情報通信技術の発達が情報利用の利便性を高める一方で、大学における高等教育のあり方と社会的に要請される能力との乖離が進行してきている。現代社会に求められる「教養」教育について検討しながら、情報学系教育の教養教育としてのあり方を考察する。そして、情報学系教育における文理総合型の「情報メディア学」の可能性を展望する。 While the information and communication technology (ICT) has rapidly advanced and spread throughout society, science and technology have advanced through specialization and enhancement. On the other hand, the higher education, especially in university, loses touch with social demand for human resources from the business world. In this paper, we consider the liberal arts in the modern context, and then discuss the higher education associated information science and arts.Thereby, we suggest a prospect of the information and media studies as academic fields that integrate the humanities and science.
